Show Deseret ... Arprilla Scow Howard Jensen, who is in the U. 5. Navy and stationed at Washington, Wash-ington, is home on leave with his parents, M-S Axel Jensen. Ardell Black spent the weekend at Deseret with his parents. M-S Ualvin Black. Ardell is in the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Thira Webb spent the past 4 week in Salt Lake City with M-S " ' Dave Mofi'itt. Mrs. Alaf Scow and son Bud and M-S Ivin Workman and daughter Cherly from Hurricane spent the past week at the home of M-S Mil-den Mil-den Scow. M-S O. I,. Dutson and sons June L. and Gary Dee returned home on Sunday from Colton, Cal., where they have spent the past three weeks. Ada Bennett, who is in the WAA C and stationed in Washington, is home on furlough. She is the daughter dau-ghter of M-S Lawrence Bennett. Mae Jean Hansen, from Fillmore, is visiting with her grandparents, M-S Elmer Dewsnup. Mrs. Ada Dewsnup is visiting in Provo with relatives. Mrs. Homer Jensen and daughter daugh-ter Dianna left Wednesday for Salt Lake City whore she will visit her parents, M-S Victor Roberts. Genevieve Eliason, daughter of M-S E. J. Eliason of Deseret has been initiated into Phi Chi Theta, national commerce fraternity, at B YU, is was announced by the exec-utice exec-utice committee. Miss Eliason is a graduate of the Hinckley high school where she was an honor student and active in Studentbody affairs. Yoshio Nishimoto, Japanese-American resident of Topaz, who discovered dis-covered the large meteorite last fall, has found several huge sections sec-tions of petrified trees. Any one of these he has offered to the Board of Education, provided they will install it on the school grounds on a base. This would be a nice exhibit ex-hibit and something Millard County Coun-ty should retain. CLUB ELECTS NEW OFFICEhS ; r ihe TNT 4-H Club of Sutherland met Monday evening, June 11, at the home of Flora May to elect new officers for the year. Joyce Theobald was elected president; Beth Ogden, vice-president. Ilene Anderson, secretary and treasurer; Myrl Barney, social manager; and Verna Barney, reporter. M-S J.- C. Juhl left Tuesday for Shenandoah, Iowa, where they will visit for about a month. M-S Reed Crafts and -daughter are visiting in Delta and Deseret with relatives.
