Show Awarded Fourth Oak : Leaf Cluster AN EIGHTH AIR FORCE LIBERATOR LIBERA-TOR STATION, ENGLAND. Staff Sergeant Cecil D. Losee, an Eighth Air Force nose turret gunner on the B-24 Liberator, "Flak Magnet," has recently been awarded a fourth Oak Leaf Cluster to his Air Medal. The citation reads: "For meritorious meritori-ous achievement in accomplishing aerial operational miss ons over enemy occupied continental Eu-rpe. Eu-rpe. Sgt. Losee's actions reflect great credit upon himself and the armed forces of the United States." He is a member of Col. A. W. Reed's 191st Heavy Bomb Group, of the Second Air Division. Prior to V-E Day Sgt. Losee flew thirty combat missions, participating participat-ing in attacks on Madenbuig. Kiel, Hanover, Dresden, Be.-iin and military installations in conjuctio i with Allied ground advances. Sgt. Losee has been in the Army Ar-my sixteen months. He received his wings at Laredo, Texas, and 'u.n-pleted 'u.n-pleted his combat training at Mr. Home, Idaho. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee, live at De'u,. |
