Show Auxiliary Of Legion Post 117 Holds 3rd Anniversary The third anniversary party of the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 117 was held in the Legion hall Friday evening,? April 21. The ladies entertained their partners at a delicious dinner served at tables decorated in blue and gold and spring flowers. During the dinner hour the following fol-lowing program was given: saxa-phone saxa-phone solo, Lila Rae Christensen, accompanied at the piano by Forest For-est Merservy; piano solo, Mr. Mer-servy; Mer-servy; remarks by Auxiliary President, Presi-dent, Mrs. Maxine Bishop, on accomplishments ac-complishments of the past year's work. Vocal solo, Mrs. Iris Merservy, with pianist, Mr. Merservy; essay, by Helen Gene Christensen, winner of essay contest sponsored by the Auxiliary. After her essay was given, she was presented a pin by Mrs. Louise Sly. Vocal duet by Kathleen Fullmer and Kitty Carter, with Mr. Merservy Mer-servy pianist, dance, Jayce Miller; presentation of past president pin to Mrs. Ruth Steele; remarks from Post Commander Frank Bishop. A large picture of Theo Que Jensen, after whom Post 117 is named, was presented to the post by Theo's father, Mr. Charles M. Jensen. The picture was hung and a moment of silence observed in his memory. After the program the evening was spent playing Bingo and Canasta. Can-asta. There was a large atten dance, all enjoying the entertainment. |
