Show Sutherland Keith Corry, seaman first class with the U. S. Navy arrived home Saturday on a 30-day leave for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Corry. He has been stationed station-ed on Guam. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Abbott, of Pleasant Grove, and family, are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Abbott. Mrs. Shirley Owens is making an extended stay in Logan, where her father is seriously ill. All of the outside brickwork on the new Sutherland ward church was finished Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Porter have moved a Kearns house on the southeast corner of the Leslie Porter Por-ter farm and are constructing their residence. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Frank. Foote and Miss Marjorie Needham drove to Dillon, Montana, where Mr. Foote's sister was very ill. Trees are being planted on the border fenceline at the Sutherland cemetery each evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. People are invited to bring Siberian elms, some large and some small. The small trees will be used as hedges between the large ones to form a windbreak. |
