Show Scout Camp-o-ree Scheduled At I Cha!k Creek Canyon Three hundred Boy Scouts from twenty troops of the Deseret and Millard stakes will gather in Chalk Creek Canyon Friday and Saturday, Satur-day, April 28 and 29 for a Camp- o-ree. The site for camp will be the old dance hall site at the Dry Creek dugway. The purpose of the camp is to give the Scouts some experience first hand under the direction of experts from the Utah National Parks Council. This training will be given Friday afternoon. The Friday evening program will be presented to the public by the famous Powder Horn post of Explorer Ex-plorer Scouts of Cedar City. These lads will perform a series of Indian In-dian dances in authentic costumes made by themselves. This is the same group that performed at Madison Square Garden and it will be worth your time to attend the meeting and see them. Saturday morning will be devoted de-voted to instruction in Scout skills and demonstrations; judging and Inspection of camps. Saturday afternoon aft-ernoon the program will be plan- ! ned and carried1 out. by the Green ; Bar Patrols. i Cliff Purcell, Scout commissioner I for the Millard stake, will be the l director of the entire program and he cordially invites the public to j the Friday evening performance. |
