Show Bp. and Mrs. Clead Nielson arid son, Allan, drove to Cedar City where they took in the stock show Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley are spending a 'few days in Ogden visiting vis-iting relatives. Mrs. Rhea Whatcott and Mrs. Gene Dutson drove to Kanosh on Monday and spent the day with Mrs. Iva Howlett. Mrs. Erma Roper and Mrs. Eunice Nielson went with them to Meadow where they visited visit-ed their sister, Mrs. Eva Beck-strand. Beck-strand. Our very deepest sympathy is extended to William Coleman and family at this time. A large group of friends came for the funeral of Mrs. Colman Sunday. A meeting was called by the PTA Monday evening. Mr and Mrs. Phil Nielson had wests Sunday from Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jones of Eureka Eur-eka visited Saturday afternoon at the Clead Nielson home." Tillman Johnson was home over the week end. He is attending the BAC in Cedar City. Mrs. Lile Johnson 'received word from Mrs. Effie Johnson in Los Angeles that her son, Norman is leaving to fill a mission in Canada. He will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City Oct. 2. He will be accompanied to Salt Lake by his parents. ' Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson spent Sunday aftrnoon at the Lile Johnson John-son home. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Johnson and their two small children of Provo were dinner guests of Bp and Mrs., Clead Nielson Sunday' Mrs. Johnson is the former Beverlv Larsen. M.iss Margaret Smith has relumed relum-ed home to begin-school after a summer of working in Salt Lake Miss Smith has been a elevator girl at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City. Jim Smith was home over the weekend with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Anderson and Wm. Coleman spent several days last week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Banks were the speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing on last Sunday evening. They reported their trip. Susie Nielson played a piano solo. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Nielson are making their home in Provo. Harlan Har-lan is switchman there. Louis Overson, Guy Sheriff, Bill Simpson and Grant Wilcox who are working in Idaho, were home Sunday. Nona Sheriff came home from . the hospital Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Ivie of Provo, Pro-vo, were down Friday. They have sold their property to Robert Nielson Niel-son who in time will build a home there. Mr.'1 and Mrs. Thurlo Wiley and Gary drove to Green River, Utah, and spent the weekend with friends, fri-ends, who were buddies of Mr. Wiley while in service. A celebration celebrat-ion was on their annual melon day and they enjoyed their stay very much. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hayes and Linda, also D. D. Hayes spent last week vacation at Puffers Lake. On their return home they visited in Provo with Mrs. Hayes parents, I Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen enjoyed the trip with the caravan of teachers to Bryce Canyon. They left the group and drove on to Zion Canyon and St. George. This being Herbert's first trip to the Utah parks. Mr. and Mrs. Alley Jenson return ed to their home in Los Angeles after a week's stay with their son Carl and family. Mrs. Cora Carrington was called to Salem due to the illness and death of her father, while Harry was in Hinckley where his father passed away. Mrs. Mary Smith visited in Salt Lake the past week with relatives week end. Lucille Johnson has had her mor ther of Cedar City with her the past week. They drove to Salt Lake Thursday for the day. Miss Gladys Banks has returned to Provo where she is attending the BYU . Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks returned home Sunday after a ten day trip in Gallup, N. M., and Los Angeles. Miss Roberta Nielson was home for two days last week. She re-I re-I turned to Grand Canyon to finish her job and will be home next week to start school. Roy Nielson drove ' to Payson Saturday and took his daughters, Emogene and Kathlyn for a dental dent-al appointment. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Roundy who are making their home in Salt Lake, were here over the weekend Nona Sheriff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff is in the Delta hospital where she under -went an appendectomy Saturday. She is getting along fine and will be home the last of this week. Mrs. Ruth Bowers and Mrs. Mamie Mam-ie Pargls drove to Payson on Satur day. Mrs. Josephine Sudbury is visiting visit-ing at the home of daughter, Ruth Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larsen who recently re-cently returned from a tour of the Great Lakes, spent two days here with them last week. Mrs. Lucille Overson drove to Orem Monday for a load of fruit. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nielson and daughter went to Enterprise Wednesday Wed-nesday for a few days visit with Mrs. Nielson's parents. |
