Show Descret LUCILLE SAMPSON Miss Marje Hinckley, of Salt Lake City, visited several days here at the home of her sister, Mrs. Cleo Eliason. Ray Moody, Salt Lake City, visited vis-ited in Deseret during the past week with his mother, Mrs. Effie Moody, and looked after his farming farm-ing interests here. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western accompanied ac-companied their son .Harold to Salt Lake City when Harold and Mary Lou Rawlinson were married in the Salt Lake temple on Sept. 15. Mrs. Ruth Durbin, of Salt Lake City, has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Eliza Cropper. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Ikie Anderson were Salt Lake visitors last week. Elder Leland Williams, from Oasis ward, wasspeaker Sunday evening at sacrament meeting. He told of many interesting experiences experi-ences while he labored in the Czechoslovakian 'field. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Western left Tuesday for Provo, where they will make a home for the winter and Harold will attend BYU. Ralph Curtis made a business trip to Salt Lake City and Provo on Tuesday. Primary for the winter months started Monday, and new officers and teachers promise to make this Primary winter outstanding. MIA opening Tuesday evening, with a dance and music furnished by the Oak City orchestra. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and a good time had by all who attended. Mrs. Thurza Webb is home after spending the past month in Salt Lake City. Jeff Carter, from Salt Lake City, is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Rowley and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Rowley went to Garrison Sunday to attend the funeral services for LaMar and Don Petersen, brothers who were killed there in an airplane crash. Mrs. Vi Singleton and daughter Kay Lou, of Pioche, Nev., visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Sampson, and Mr. and Mrs. David Evans of Delta. Mrs. Vada Dewsnup celebrated another birthday Monday at her home. Her 'family and neighbors spent the afternoon with her, all with best wishes for the occasion. |
