Show MILLARD 6sji:'fV CM56i& Delta, Utah, Thurs., Sept. 21, 1950 Air Trip Over Pretty Craters Saturday I was In Cedar City, and hired a plane to fly over the west road from Cedar to St. George. I had taken photos of these craters from the ground, and so knew where to go. The cre.ter by Veyo is not ad-vantageously shown by air; it Is much prettier 'from the ground - -- a fine, regular cone, and very nice. Then further south, a small cra-ter, and just beyond it another, larger. Both have depressions in the top, where the upward force had spent itself and withdrew sli-ghtly after the effort. Then to the next one. But I had to shoot aga-inst the sun, and am afraid the picture will turn out engee. On going past this by car, it deflected the floating magnet In the compass, drew the needle to it as we passed, and when past, the needle swung back to proper position. This was proof of iron in the lava. The color north of St. George is very attractive. But I was out of color flims - - my usual predic-ament!! -- OakCity- Mae H.
