Show Still Carries Pheasant Shot Alvin Campbell, now returned to his home in Salt Lake City, still has a souvenir of the recent pheasant phea-sant hunt in Delta. That is the 11 pellets he still carries out of an original 24. Mr. Campbell and his wife, Flora Owens Campbell, and friends from Salt Lake, were pheasant hunting on opening days at the LaVar Owens Ow-ens farm. Shortly after 12 he was shot, and brought bleeding into the Delta hospital. It was after they reached there that one of the friends realized it was he that had shot Mr. Campbell. He had shot in his forehead, lips about the face, arm and shoulder, even one through the lobe of one ear. But fortunately there were none close to the eyes. Two shot were recoved in Delta, and after his return to Salt Lake, and X-rays all but 11 were got out. He is reported re-ported getting along all right. |
