Show Shows Slides Of Pacific Trip Friday night in the Delta Seminary Semin-ary Ted Harris showed slides of scenes taken on his recent naval training cruise in the Pacific. His pictorial record opened with a view of Oak City mountains as he left here, and followed with views a-cross a-cross Nevada to San Francisco and the transport he cruised on. There were many beautiful colored col-ored sunsets and sunrises on the Pacific, views of Guam, their first stop, and many interstting views of the- Hawaiian Islands, most taken tak-en from the air. Ted had flown from Honolulu to the island of Hawaii, where he visited his cousin cou-sin Jean Harris, there teaching school, and from there to the farther far-ther end of the island group, 370 miles to Kakaha, to visit Carol Han sen, also teaching school. Among the audience were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harris, of Oak City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen, of Delta, to see the pictures Ted had taken of their daughters. Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Barney were also present ,and had some slides their son, Elder Ralph Barney, had sent home of him in Hawaii. Following the showing of pictures, pic-tures, refreshments were served to the guests. |
