Show Couple Weds In Home Ceremony In a candlelight ceremony Saturday Sat-urday night wedding vows were recited by Miss Henrietta June Davis, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis, and Russell La Van-McBride, Van-McBride, son of Mrs. Arvilla Mc-Bride Mc-Bride of Salt Lake City. The ceremony was performed at 8 o'clock by Bishop Harold Jensen at the home of the bride's grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Henrietta Barben. Present were members of the families fam-ilies and close friends. Morgan Edwards Ed-wards played the wedding march, a violin solo, as the bridal party entered. The bride chose a gown of white slipper satin for her wedding and wore a fingertip veil with a cap of seed pearls. Her bouquet was a cluster of baby orchids surrounded surround-ed with talisman roses and while carnations. She was attended by her sister, Miss Evelyn Davis as maid of honor. Charles Barben stood as best man. A wedding reception and dance honored the newly wedded couple Saturday night in the Jolly Stitcher Stit-cher club hall at Woodrow. Many Friends called with best wishes and congratulations. From out of town guests were the mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. McBride, Mrs. May Mitchell, Mrs. Effie Bier and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Hull, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bills of Salt Lake City. Sunday afternoon a wedding dinner attended by members of the families was held at the home of Mrs. Barben. The new Mr. and Mrs. McBride visited in Delta through the week and will return to Salt Lake City where they will make their home. |
