Show Civic Clubs To Meet in Richfield The next meeting of the Associated Assoc-iated Civic Clubs of Southern and Eastern Utah is to be held at Rich-" field, on Saturday, Nov. 19. Afternoon meeting will be at 2:30 p. m. Program: Address of Welcome, by Pres. Arthur Brian; reading of minute of Monticello meeting; Reports Re-ports of officers and committees; Water and Reclamation, by Thomas Thom-as Jensen; Keep Utah Green, by Elmer Eangren; Activities in the Field, by Wendell Paulsen; Roads by a representative of the State Road Commission; Re-Seeding, Watershed Protection, by Paul Ash worth; The Past Year, by Arthur Brian. Election of Officers; Report of the Utah Resources Group, (II-lustarted (II-lustarted with slides) by Dr. Elroy Nelson, of the U. of U.; The State of the Nation, Senator Arthur V. Watkins, 20 minutes and Represent ative Walter K. Granger, 20 minutes; min-utes; and Questions and Answers. Evening banquet at the Johnston John-ston Hotel, sponsored by the Richfield Rich-field Chamber of Commerce; In- vocation; Introduction of guests; music. Speakers: Dr. Elroy Nelson, Sen. Arthur V. Watkins, Rep. Walter Wal-ter K. Granger. Speakers will choose ch-oose their own subjects. This will be an interesting and instructive meeting, and a large attendance is expected. |
