Show Legion Post 89 AtIIIISNov.ll Arthur L. Cahoon Post 89, American Amer-ican Legion, presented the patriotic patriot-ic program on Armistice Day at Hinckley high school at 11 a. m. Carl Theobald, post commander, presided. The colors weer advanced, advanc-ed, followed by 1 minute of silence in memory of the war dead. The audience sang the Star Spangled Banner, and the opening prayer was by Roy Hilton. Musical numbers on the program were given by the school chorus. Two readings were given by Marilyn Mari-lyn Murray and Carla Workman. The principal speaker was Leg-ionaire Leg-ionaire James Owens, who told of his experiences in World War II, in the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. |
