Show Senior Scouts Meet at Sandhill Senior Scouts and Scouters of this district met at the sandhills east of Delta Tuesday night in ,an outdoor dinner and program. A deer had been furnished by the Oak City Scouts, which was cooked cook-ed before going to the hills. Each of those who attended brought their own plates, etc, as well as what they wanted to eat besides venison. The deer was prepared by the Quality Market and cooked by the Gem Cafe before it was taken on the picnic. More than two hundred Scouts, their wives and partners particpat-ed particpat-ed in the largest event of this nature na-ture ever prepared by the Scouts. After the dinner a short program was given about the huge bonfire that kept the crowd warm and in good spirits. Waldo Warnick and Lionel Taylor Tay-lor had the party in charge, and had made excellent, arrangements for its successful conclusion. Monday night the district Scouts held the regular monthly meeting, which is held the second Monday of every month in the Seminary. At this meeting it was urged that wards appoint their institutional representatives to the district council, and if they have been appointed ap-pointed to send the names to Grant Snow, chairman. It was also asked that all information of any changes in Scout organization in any wards be made known to Mr. Snow. . The Boy Scout fund drive is progressing pro-gressing well and within a short time all of the homes in West Millard Mil-lard will have been canvassed for their contributions toward this boy organization. |
