Show YOUNG MAN OF ! BENSON WARD PASSES AWAY H i r K. A. 1'iuxons Ih Very III nt the H Utah-Idaho Hospital; Submits H J J to 0Krntlon. 1 ( ! Benson, June 28. Harold, tho bIx- H 1 teen-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. H M. Jensen Falslov, died at tho Utah- H Idaho hospital at G p. m. on Monday H as a result of an operation for ap- H 1 pcndlcltls. His remains were taken H to the Llndulst undertaking parlor, H and tho funeral services were hold In H the Fourth ward meeting house on H Sunday, July 1, at 4 o'clock. Hiir- H old was a boy of excellent character H , and many qualities that made evory- H ono his friend with whom ho beenmo H acquainted. For a long tlmo ho has H acted as a deacon In caring for our meeting house, and could always ho depended on as ono who did his work well. His cheerful manner gavo evt-denco evt-denco that he did not do his work as an unpleasant task, but rather as a pleasure. A more faithful, Industrious Indus-trious lad could not possibly bs found. Especially was this noticed last fall when hauling sugar beets from the pile to Ilenson station, a distance of four miles. He was always al-ways one of the first and one of tho last at the place of loading. Being so well acquainted with the fidelity to duty of dear Harold, It is with deepest emotion that the writer pons these few lines regarding him. The devoted parents havo the profound sympathy of our community in this hour of their bereavement, especially especi-ally hard to bear, as tho elder son, Marenus, joined the U. S. service nB a soldier a few months ngo, and Is now In California. Not only Is tho mental agony great In being deprived of their two oldest sons, but the farm duties are great in tho caring for a largo acreage in theso times .when help Is so scarce. Efforts ars , , . . J being made to have Marenus granted ( a mouth's furlough, so he , might be ihomo'.; to comfort his distressed (motherland help his over-worked father, which we trust may be granted. grant-ed. K. A. Parsons III. I Another sad case we have, to report re-port Is the undergoing of an operation opera-tion at the Utah-Idaho hospital on Monday last, of E. A. Parsons. At tho present time he is in rather a precarious condition, but we sincerely sincere-ly hope that, for the sake of this devoted de-voted wife, his five sons and little daughter and for his many relatives and numerous friends, his life may be spared. In the prime of a vigorous vigor-ous manhood, with every evidence or robust health, it does seem strange to be taken down with a bodily Infirmity In-firmity that makes It necessary to undergo an operation. What a blessing bless-ing It is that when it does becomo necessary that a place like the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho hospital, with Its splendid conveniences, con-veniences, able corps of nurses and sapable surgeons and physicians, are so near. On Wednesday morning, Mr. and i Mrs. W. O, Reese took their daugh-. daugh-. ter, Mrs. Leland Ashcrof t, accompanied accompan-ied by her husband, to the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho hospital to undergo an operation. |
