Show Florene Rob-; etrs Popular Florence Roberts, who will be In Logan at the Thatcher opera house, Thursday, Is possibly the only dram-alio dram-alio star who is appearing this season under the management of two separate separ-ate and distinct theatrical firms or managers, that of Mr. Henry B Harris, Har-ris, who owns the Hudson and Hack-ett Hack-ett Theatres, New York City, Is also the manager of Hobert Edson In "Classmates," Rose Stalil In "The Chorus Laay," Edgar vSelwyn and Ralph Stuart In "Stronghcart," as well as four "Lion and the Mouse" companies; also under the management manage-ment of Mr. John (Ort, who controls a chain of theatres on the Pacltlo coast, as well as Maude Fealy. Irf "The Stronger Sex," Calve, the opera sing-or, sing-or, Max Flgman In "The Man on tho Box," and "The Alaskan," Miss Roberts' extended engagements engage-ments at the Liberty Theatre, New York 'City, last season, and this season sea-son at the Hackett Theatre, under this distinguished management, was an unequivocal artistic success, and while the dramatic editors were at varlence regarding tier vehicles or plays, they .unanimously bestowed the greatest praise possible upon her ability abili-ty as an.actrcss, and placed tier in the foremost ranks of the dramatic stars of the present day. Messrs. Henry B. Harris and John Corl are now having a new play written writ-ten for Miss Roberts by a well-known author that will be exactly suited to ber abilities, and in which she will appear at the' Hudson Theatre, New York, at tlie commencement of the season. |
