Show WOUND WATCH WRONG WAY. The Story of a Left-Handed Woman and Her Timepiece. "Women don't deserve to own watches," recently remarked a Jeweler. Jewel-er. "They don't know how to take cate of them. A woman bought a watch from my Arm recently and I gave her strict Instructions to wind It every 24 hours ami always at tbe same hour as nearly as possible. Two days later she came back with it and said it bad stopped. Well. I found It had run down. I told her, but she Insisted Bhe had wound It. Two or three days later she came back with tho same complaint, and again I tried to impress her with the necessity for winding It. Agaln she Insisted she had done so and went away miffed. The third time she came I asked her to show me how she had wound It. Then I made a peculiar Uscovery. The woman was left-handed, and in attempting at-tempting to wind tho watch she had been winding It the wrong way. I'vo had peculiar experiences with customers, cus-tomers, but that beats all." |
