Show Mrs. Crowther Passes Away Widow Survives Husband But Two Weeks. Mrs. John Crowther, two-weeks widow of the late John Crowther, and mother of the editor of tha Journal, Augustus Gordon, died at her home In this city Tuesday morning at 7:30. She was agech78 years and was a victim vic-tim of bronchitis and general debility. Until her late husband's accident in November, Mrs. Crowther was in fair health, but she gave him such loving care and attention that It told on her strength and when he went she was In the frame of mind to follow. It Is said that she was Imbued with the idea that her husband deslred.her to follow soon and her contentment to go probably had much to do with her early decline. Mrs. Crowther was born In West Wittering, Sussex, Eng., Nov. 1, 1820, Joined the church fn 1840, and emigrated emi-grated to Utah in 1803. She was married mar-ried to Wm. Crowther Jan. 1, 1870, at Alma, Wyoming. They came to Logan Lo-gan in 1870 and resided hero since. Mrs. Crowther was a woman of exceeding ex-ceeding good qualities, sweet disposition, disposi-tion, and fervent desire to dp good. In church ork she 'was active at Alma, being a councillor there, and In Logan secretary of the" Relief Society for years. For ten or fifteen years she was a worker In tho Temple and was well-known throughout tho valley. The funeral service will bo held at f the Tabernaclo Friday at 2 o'clock.
