Show Animal nutrition subject at educational meet On Friday, cattlemen in the area will participate in an Educational Meeting to update them on important aspects of animal nutrition. The meeting sponsored by Utah State University Extension, will be held January lit, in room 5 at the Cedar City Public Library beginning at 1 :30 p.m. Dr. Don Clanton, Animal Scientist from the University of Nebraska' will discuss, "Supplemental "Sup-plemental Feeding of Range Cattle". Dr. John Butcher, Animal Scientist from Utah State University will discuss, "Results of Feeding Alfalfa Cubes to Steers and Heifers". Lynn Esplin, Iron County Extension Agent, noted that more cubing of alfalfa is being done in this area and feeding of cubes may be an economical feed for growing beef cattle. Dr. Clanton is familiar with range conditions in Southern Utah. He attended school at Utah State University and did research work on Atomic Fallout in Southern Utah and Nevada.
