Show SUSC thespians stage "Peter Pan" Sometimes a trip to "Never, Never Land" is a great spirit booster. Southern Utahans are dipping into fantasy-land via the antics of Sir James M. Barry's "Peter Pan" currently being presented at Southern Utah State College. Though officially designated as Children's Theatre, play director Terral S. Lewis notes that the play "carries definite adult I overtones." "While viewers lose themselves them-selves in the fantasy, the flying, mysterious characters and fog of Never, Never Land, they also gain some significant insights when they see themselves become a Peter Pan or Captain Hook," Lewis said. Since the play's opening Tuesday, matinee performances have been held for Bryce Valley, Beaver and Iron County elementary students. "We've also played to a group of Senior Citizens which points out the versatility of the play for all age groups," Lewis said. Matinee performances continue con-tinue through Friday, beginning each afternoon at 1:15 p.m. Evening performances run through Saturday, with curtain time at 8:15. |
