Show Penny Parade to solicate hospital funds "Wishes for Well Children," is the theme for this year's Annual Penny Parade, it was announced this week. The annual event will be depicted by small wishing wells worn by the primary workers of the Cedar and Cedar West Stakes as they canvass each home in the area. Those in charge point out that although the administration of the Primary Children's Medical Center has changed hands there is still a vital need for con tributions to help defray expenses ex-penses of children from all over the world who wouldn't be able to receive the help they need without this vital assistance. The Penny Parade will begin January 15 and continue through February 15. As Primary workers visit each home they will deliver circulars explaining the program and services for which the funds will be used. Workers point out that this is an opportunity for service where pennies and dollars will receive their full value. Contributions are asked based on age, two cents a year, but suggest that if contributors do not feel sufficiently suf-ficiently old they can join the parade by the pound. |
