Show Zion Park travel down from 1971 Visits to Zion National Park through 1972 shewed a slight decrease from the record year of 1971, it is reported by Superintendent Sup-erintendent Rclbert C. Heyder. Visits during 1972 totaled 970,167, a decrease of 4,809 over the previous year. A total of 162.626 visitors used the campgrounds during 1972 which was an increase of two percent over 1971. Travel showed an increase during Feibruary, March, May, July, August, October, November and December. Months that recorded re-corded fewer visitors than in 1971 Included January, April June and September. Zion National Park is open to the public on a year-long basis. The Watchman Camp-giound Camp-giound will be open all winter. The Park Visitor Center will be open daily frcrn 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
