Kevin Schoppman was almost the entire offensive show for Calfomia Pacific as they defeated de-feated Parowan during the week 12-8. Schoppman hit three home runs, added a single for a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate and scored four runs in the contest. con-test. Parowan had a big second inning in-ning scoring five runs and taking tak-ing an early lead. Big blow of the inning was a double by Johnson. The combinations combina-tions of wins and losses boosted State Bank into a commanding league lead. Steve Stoker was on the mound for the State Bank win over Canyonlands as he hurled a two hitter. One of the hits he ave up was a home run to Doug Hall, but it was not enough as State Bank belted out 10 hits to match their run output. Brian Hirschi and David Mid-dleton Mid-dleton combined their pitching talents to boost Ca. Pacific over Utah International. Brad Blackner suffered the loss. The Utility crew took the lead in the second inning with four runs on two hits after both teams had scored twice in the first. UI bounced back Monday eve ning however, to score a come from behind 6-5 win over Cedar Glass. Cedar Glass held a 5-2 edge going into the final inning of play but UI pushed in four runs in the seventh to score the victory. Averett belted a two run homer for Cedar Glass in the third. Winning pitcher was Dave Wright. State Bank continued their winning way with a 12-1 victory vic-tory over Del Rich Real Estate. Bret Smith hurled a no-hltter but gave up one run on four walks for Del Rich's only score. Southern Utah Mortuary made the biggest move in the standings stand-ings with two victories during the week. They downed Cedar Glass 5-2 and then defeated TWA 13-4. Against Cedar Glass the score was tied 1-all after two innings and the Mortuary crew pushed in three runs on three singles in the third to take the lead and the victory. Lee Holmes was the winning pitcher. Against TWA, Mortuary had a big third frame scoring 10 runs on seven hits and sew-in sew-in up the victory. Canyonlands got into the win column during the week with a 5-1 victory over TWA. Doug Hall was the big gun, he belted out two home runs and was the winning pitcher.
