Show ROLLO-glyphics "Eagle." July 20 became known as Moon Walk Day, and It is certainly one date that will re-main re-main emblazoned in the minds of all who were able to watch the dramatic event on television. On that historic day, pilot Michael Collins orbited the moon in the command module, "Columbia," while Nell Arm-strong Arm-strong and Edwin Aldrin, Jr. explored the moon. The duo's entire stay on the moon lasted 21 hours, 36 minutes and 16 seconds, sec-onds, and the actual moon walk initiated by Armstrong, was 2 hours, 15 minutes in length. The potential spin-off benefits bene-fits from this venture, added to the overall contribution the national na-tional space program has made to U.S. industrial life throughout through-out the years, are tremendous. The moon walk proved once again that tecnology whether it be earthbound or streaking toward the stars is the key to a better way of life. So to clarify that I would like to pass along the information informa-tion that the Peter Pan Float entered by Lin's AG Market was the first place winner and I extend my apologies to them for the oversight. Second place honors went to Dumbo Elephant entered by Cedar Packing Co. and third place was garnered by Spilsbury and Graf Mortuary with their float entitled Underwater Under-water Fantasy. Again my apologies, particularly particu-larly to Lin's AG and those who worked so hard on preparing the float, for my failure to recognize re-cognize that effort and to the royalty for the mis representation. representa-tion. Hope you will understand. The Tax Foundation gives us this week some understanding as to what is happening with Last week we delayed the paper for a day for most subscribers sub-scribers in order to get some report on the Independence Day Celabration in Cedar City. As it turned out the effort was a near disaster. In the first place in the picture pic-ture of the King and Queen and their attendants, royalty for the miniature parade, I ended up improperly identifying identify-ing the royalty. I listed the Kin and Queen as attendants and reversed the attendants and listed list-ed them as the King and Queen. In order to correct that mistake mis-take we are rerunning the picture pic-ture of the royalty in this week's paper with proper identification iden-tification and titles. That picture pic-ture appears elsewhere in the paper. The second mistake was that I was unable to take pictures of all of the floats entered in the Parade and as a result I did not get a picture of the winning float I did, however, have a picture of the second place float, so I ran it. That was alright, I guess, but in the process I failed to mention men-tion who won the first place award. taxation in this country. They indicated that Federal tax receipts re-ceipts in fiscal 1974, which began be-gan July 1, are expected to equal $1,179 for every American. That figure is more than double the per capita tax of $582 just ten years ago.
