Show Blood drawing scheduled July 17 Mrs. Betty Neff, Blood Program Pro-gram Chairman for the Iron County Chapter of the American Red Cross announced the next blood drawing for Tuesday, July 17 at the Elks Lodge from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A quota of 150 pints has been set to meet the requirements of Iron County for 6 months. Donors are urgently needed. They must be between 18 and 66 years of age. In the past it was necessary for donors between be-tween 18 and 21 to get the written permission of parents. This is no longer a requirement and it is expected that the number num-ber of young donors will substantially sub-stantially Increase. Coleman Cooperates fC) ) Q jt DEDICATION. At the winter drawing last February the Coleman Company reserved the first hour at the Blood Drawing and 36 employees employ-ees were donors released from work for the time required at the blood bank. A similar arrangement ar-rangement has been made by the Coleman Company for the drawing next week. Mrs. Neff highly praised this kind of Interest and support from business, churches and the community. At the last two drawings the support of the LDS Church was outstanding and made the attainment of the quota a reality. Again at the drawing next week Ernies Arctic Circle will give a milk shake to every donor. The La-Petite La-Petite Beauty Salon will give a free shampoo and hair set to the first woman who Is a first time donor. Parowan and Paragonah donors don-ors should call Mrs. Joan Mortensen, Mor-tensen, 477-3557, for coordinating coordinat-ing travel to Cedar City for the drawing. Praises helpers Mrs. Neff was high in praise for all who make the blood drive a success the Order of Elks who have made their fine lodge building avalable for many years, the Doctors who offer their services on a schedule sched-ule at each drawing, the nurses Pink Ladies, press, radio stations, sta-tions, volunteer workers and the donors. At the blood bank every effort ef-fort is made to process each donor In about one hour but at times this must be increased at which times the patience of the donors is much appreciated. |
