PAROWAN - The Parowan LDS 3rd Ward ladies softball team walked off with the championship for the second year in a row as games were completed during the past two weeks. The girls have worked hard and the sportsmanship of all the teams was very commendable. com-mendable. Members of the Third Ward team are Christine Bryant, , Team Captain; Diane Gurr, Raylene Mitchell, Gaylene Mitchell, Teressa Johnson, Natalie Bentley, Pamela Orton, Lynna Kay Rowley, Lynette Gurr, Linda Hermansen, Michelle Bentley, Laura Bryant, Janette Hermansen, Sharon Robinson, Wendy Stubbs, Jill Orton, Elaine Burton, Terri Hatch and Dana Fiack. Coach for the team is Moana Adams and assistant coach Sharon Gurr. The girls competed in a league with five teams and were undefeated un-defeated during the season. An all star team was chosen from the five teams with two players from each. 3rd Ward all stars were Christine Bryant and Wendy Stubbs. First Ward all stars were Lorna and Colleen Rowley. 2nd Ward were Nichole Adams and Lisa Stolk. Paragonah was Donna Abbott and Tammy Robinson. Summit Ward all stars were Anita Green and Lynda Green. The final game of the season was played last Thursday with the all star team winning over a group of coaches and leaders by a close score. |
