Show State receives $3 million check from BLM A check for more than $3 million has been sent to the State of Utah treasurer by the U. S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management, according to word received by Paul L. Howard, BLM state director for Utah. The check was part of a record $76.4 million distributed to 23 states that share in funds received from federal lands administered by BLM. Utah's share was for $3,115,344.06. The money is the state's share of revenue collected from mineral leases, from Jan. 1 to June 30, grazing leases and sales of public lands and materials between July 1 and June 30. Of . the total, $66,013.38 was from grazing and $147,305.06 was from , sale of lands and materials. The latter was considerably higher than the $1,072.00 received by the state for sale of lands and i minerals in FY 74 because of new , geothermal activity on BLM-administered BLM-administered lands in Utah. |
