Shoplifting laws subject of Chamber meeting Robert Hansen, assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah, will be the guest speaker at the August membership meeting of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce. The no-host luncheon meeting will be held Thursday. Aug. 28 at 12 noon at the Sugar Loaf Cafe. Hansen's subject w ill be Utah's War on Shoplifters." He'll be dealing specifically with the new law passed by the legislature dealing - with shoplifting He will explain it's ap- I plications which should be of special interest in-terest to the retail merchants, all parents and law enforcement people. It is estimated that shoplifting is a 2'j billion dollar business each year in the U. S. with the merchants and consumers paying the bill. Hansen will also have bumper stickers, posters and other educational material available for distribution at the meeting.
