Show Utah Properties to attend Boise confab The established format for a general sales meeting will be in for a big change when more than 250 dealers for Boise Cascade Cas-cade Homes convene in Boise January 14 through 16. Instead of the usual company-staged convention, the dealers themselves themsel-ves will run the show with company support. Dallin Gardner, local manager mana-ger of Utah Properties, who is the Boise Cascade dealer for the Cedar City area, has participated par-ticipated with the company and other dealers in preparing and planning the program for this meeting. Representatives o f Utah Properties who will attend at-tend the dealer forum are Mr., Gardner of Cedar City, along with Duane Bauer who is sales manager for the Cedar City office, of-fice, and Dale Clarkson and Stan Julian representing the Kanab office. Utah Properties in Kanab and Cedar City is the largest dealer for Boise Cascade Homes produced pro-duced out of the Salt Lake City plant. The three-day gathering, for which more than 700 persons have already registered, will be highlighted by the actual construction con-struction of a model home at Boise's R:deway Inn, convention convent-ion site. This entirely new model mo-del in. the line of more than 30 currently offered is part of a new "model home" program for dealers to be unveiled at the mseting. The first of its kind for the company, the January dealer meeting evolved fram efforts by the company to improve its service and communications in a rapidly growing dealer net- -work which ha3 more than tripled tri-pled in size during the past two years. During this period, Boise Cascade boosted its housing hous-ing production to more than 1600 completed housing units a year and extended its marketing market-ing area into four additional states with the opening of two new plants. This "workshep" format will allow dealers to learn from each other and obtain "expert" advice from Intermountair region reg-ion professions in the areas of customer service, advertising, local financing, site preparation preparat-ion and other topics. More than forty suppliers from throughout the United States will be exhibiting such products as appliances, lighting light-ing fixtures, hardware, roofing, siding, paint, carpets and floor covering. Financial and governmental govern-mental officials Involved in the home-building industry will also al-so participate in the dealer discussions. |
