Show Beef specialist to speak in Cedar City Dr. Verl Bohman a prominent Nevada Animal Scientist will speak to Southern Utah Cattlemen Cattle-men in a meeting at the Cedar City Public Library, Friday January Urh at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. according to Lynn Esplin, USU Extension Agent. Dr. Bohman, a native Utahn, is currently head of the animal ani-mal science department at the University of Nevada in Reno. He has spent a lifetime study-ing study-ing beef cattle problems under desert conditions, and has produced pro-duced many practical answers. He will speak on feeding cows for maximum fertility, wintering winter-ing calves, and growing out replacement re-placement heifers. He will also show a film and discuss grass Tetany or Weat Grass Poisoning. Poison-ing. Dr. . Bohman will appear in three sessions in Northern and Central Utah before coming to Cedar City. These meetings are being sponsored by USU Extension Ex-tension Service, with county cattlemen associations cooperating. cooper-ating. All beef cattle ranchers in Southern Utah are invited to attend. |
