Show Adams Memorial Theatre an honor to heritage illft''' . .. ..v.. ::. ' ' :... ,. Z"1 TV.. vL. - . ... - . . - , Quality drama is no stranger to Southern Utah. Almost as soon as early Mormon settlers arrived they began, amid building and planting, to produce drama for entertainment, education, -and diversion, but most of all, to keep alive the beauty that only those who love the arts can feel. Shakespearean drama was a favorite of many who worked beyond their difficult tasks of living to make sure the heritage of drama was passed on. Such dedicated patrons of the arts were among the early residents of Parowan. It is entirely en-tirely fitting that we honor Thomas and Luella R. Adams and Will L. Adams, personification per-sonification of the love of the arts which has perpetuated the cultural heritage of which the Festival is a part. The Adams; spent much of their lives devoted to making theatre and music a part of their family, their associates and their community. No one would be prouder to see a building representative of one of drama's finest hours erected in their memory and in their much loved Southern Utah than Thomas and Luella R. Adams. The generosity of the O.C. Tanners has made the Festival Theatre a reality and the con-tribution-and devotion to art of Mrs. Tanner's family, the Adams' have made its heritage one truly equal in stature to the fondest dreams of the Utah Shakespearean Festival. 1972 marked the dedication of the Adams Memorial Theatre. SCENIC SETTING.
