Show R., and a sister, Mrs. Altis (Estelle) Jarrett, all of Cedar City. Custodial Supervisor at Southern Utah State College for 26 years. He was a member of the LDS Church and served as Branch President of Elkmont Branch, Elkmont, Ala. He filled a Stake Mission for the Cedar West Stake. He was a High Priest in the Cedar Fifth Ward and served for ten years as Executive Secretary in the Cedar Second Ward. At the services the speaker was Lorin Bunker with an eulogy by Jack Cannon and remarks by Bishop Boyd Bladen, who conducted. con-ducted. A prayer at the home was offered by Russell R. Roberts and the family prayer was by W. L. Harbison. Invocation In-vocation was by Edward G. Matheson and the benediction was pronounced by Max Payne. Dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Lester W. Roberts. Musical selections included a vocal solo: "0 My Father," by Bert Carpenter, accompanied by Janet Knell; a vocal solo, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," by Blaine Johnson, accompanied by Loa Johnson. Prelude and postlude music was by Valaine Bladen. Survivors include his wife, Cedar City; two sons, James Wayne, Palos Verdes, Calif., and Gale, Cedar City. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; two brothers, Lester W. and Russell Funeral Services honor Joseph Roberts Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 2 for Joseph William James Roberts, 69, who died late Sunday, June 29 at his home in Cedar City of a heart attack. He was born in Elkmont, Ala., Dec. 10, 1906, a son of Grover Cleveland and Eula Rebecca Wyatt Robert. He married Annie Lee Birdsong Dec. 24, 1933.
