In 1972 Dr. Braithwaite assumed chairmanship of the Board after Mr. Crichton asked to be released from that position. A year ago, the Board was reorganized and Mr. Crichton, Mr. Gooding, Dr. Farnsworth, and Mrs. Sweet were released with a vote of appreciation. Appointed at that time as Board members were Robert Hansen, Clayton Frchner, Leland Fife, Mrs. Winona Cowan, and Mrs. Genevieve Gardner. Other, more recent, appointments to the Board have been Dr. Dan Moss and Mrs. LaVeve Whettcn, all from Cedar City. The group requested Dr. Braithwaite to remain as chairman. Mrs. Christine Winterrose and Mrs. Ruth Challis serve as Festival secretaries. Concerning the work of the Festival Board and its contribution con-tribution to the increasing success of the Festival. Dr. Braithwaite states, "We cannot begin to estimate the value of the service given by these dedicated people.
