Show Farm Bureau adopts resolutions Among the resolutions adopted by the Iron County Farm Bureau at a meeting held this past week, was one that would recommend that dogs, in the unincorporated areas of the county should be licensed at a minimal cost to facilitate identification. Representatives of the Bureau from Beryl, Parowan and Cedar City, met to adijpt a series of resolutions to "surface issues and problems in county, state and nation of concern to local Farm Bureau members." All voting members were invited and encouraged to attend and participate. Other resolutions adopted were as follows: 1. The Iron County Farm Bureau should appoint a committee com-mittee to consider county flood control and to assist in solving the problem. 2. We believe the county planning commission should be reorganized to represent a broader spectrum of the country's coun-try's citizens. 3. We believe that the Iron County subdivision ordinance must be revised and strengthened. 4. We support the cloud-seeding cloud-seeding program and encourage county government to continue this program. 5 More consideration should be given to completing a freeway interchange at Kanarraville to eliminate costly upkeep on the long access roads and for greater safety and convenience. The balance of the meeting was used for discussing issues pertinent to the state of Utah and the nation, and some excellent resolutions were suggested to the board members planning to attend the state convention scheduled November 20 and 21. |
