Show PARAGON AH NEWS I'aragonah. There are two grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wed. in I-ong Beach and Mrs, Adamson and her people returned home on Fri. Mr. and Mrs. K. M. Fdwards have received the sad news that the husband of their granddaughter grand-daughter Connie had died of F.eukemia. The young man, Tom George, a native of Texas was living in Silver I.ake, Maryland at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and two children. A group of F'aragonah ladies 1 attended the special interest dinner and program in Cedar City on Sat. Included in the group were Mrs. Idella Ilobinson, Mrs. Iras Jones, Mrs. Gwen Jones, Mrs. Iluth Boardman, Mrs. Mary I Ilobinson, Mrs. Iloene Lund and I Mrs. Hannah Ilobinson. Mrs. Myrl Lessing, daughters Sandy and Lana of Heaver were Sat. visitors here at the John II. Lister home. The four children of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lester of Washington visited here with their grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. John II. Lister from Nov. 1 to the 4th. DUP meeting will be held this Thurs. at the home of Mrs. Lenna llv llilin.i l,aintii t',ni Mr. Dwight Stones was injured at the Comstock Mine west of Cedar City on Wed. and was taken to the Valley View Medical Center by ambulance. Mr. Stones was crushed between two railroad ore cars and suffered rib damage. He had six ribs broken in two places and was hospitalized for observation until Sat. Mrs. Dorothy Mick el and her cousins Mrs. Iris Irving and Mrs. Nedra Jensen all of Spring City : visited here from Wed. to Fri. with Mrs. Mickel's sister Mrs. Idella Robinson. On Thurs. they traveled to Milford to see a relative. Mr. William T. Davenport arrived home on Nov. 3 after more than a month with family members in Salt Lake City. He came liome with Clark and Wilma Lamoreaux on their return from Wyoming. Mrs. Koene Lund and her sister, Mrs. Vera Gibson of Cedar City spent the dav Mon. in Milford with Mrs. Maxine Barton. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson had a host of visitors here for the marriage of their foster daughter Diane Bitsilly. Diane's parents Mr. and Mrs. Mae Judd. Meeting will begin at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Annabelle Lister was in Cedar City on Thurs. evening to attend a party at the home of her sister, Mrs. Itha Robinson in honor of Mrs. Vyonne Robinson. Mrs. June Barton, son Douglas Guy Bitsilly, five of their family and three grandchildren, also Mrs. Bitsilly 's sister Cora Mae and five of her children all came from Tohatchi, New Mexico on Fri. and were here overnight. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson enjoyed having week-end visitors here who came for the wedding of David Robinson and Diane Bitsilly. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux, Mrs. Leora Ashton, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Robinson and all of their family came from Orem and were accompanied by Mrs. Valerie Ivie and two little girls of Duchesne. They were here from Fri. to Sun. Miss Cathy Edwards was here from Provo and the Ralph Edwards' Ed-wards' came from Cedar City. Mrs. Geo Edwards and son Paul visited at the Chester Ilobinson home on Thurs. Paul had been in a Salt Lake Hospital for knee surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poulson and family of Rockland, Idaho were in town on Fri. to visit with friends and to attend the Ilobinson wedding reception. Mrs. Donna Adamson, daughter Lisa and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Shurle traveled to Long Beach, CaliL, on Mon. of last week to attend the, .funeral for their father Mr. Leone Shurte who passed f way on Nov. 2 after a lingering illness with cancer. Mr. Shurte was 55 years old and is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter, Robert Shurte, Long Beach; Kenneth Shurte, Compton; Stephen Shurte, Parowan Valley and Mrs. Gary (Donna) Adamson, and his girl friend traveled to Salt Fjake City and Ogden for the weekend. They took care of some business matters and visited with June's mother, Mrs. Edith Marsing and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot and Judy traveled to Salt Lake City on Fri. to spend the weekend with the Bob Talbot family. They also visited with the Arnold Millar family in Lake Shore on their way home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Michaeli of Costa Mesa, Calif, returned to their home on Sun. after a four day stay at their vacation residence here. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gordon of Newport Beach, Calif, were in town recently for about ten days at their vacation home. Mr. and Mrs. James IF. Anderson An-derson were happy to have family members visit them on Sun. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Low, Patty and Eddie, Mrs. Miriam Limb, Iorraine and Brook were all here from Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Englestead and son Ernest of Panguitch were weekend visitors here with Clem's sister, Mrs. Gwen Jones. |
