Show Delia Marsden succumbs; honored at services I'AKOWAN - Mrs. Delia D. Marsden age 83 died Nov. 7, 1974 of natural causes in a south Ogden Hospital. Mrs. Marsden was born April 12. 1891 in Paragonah to James Burrows and Mathilda Jan Barton Davenport. She married William Marsden June 7, 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Marsden died Aug. 21, 1904. Mrs. Marsden was a school teacher, and a member of the LDS church. She was chosen Mother of the Year for Iron County in 1961. She served in the DIIP nrpiHpnt nf the Federated Club for Women, and president of the Band Mothers Organization in Pa rowan. She is survived by 3 sons Carlyle D., Pomona, Calif.; William Kent, Mesquite, Nev.; and Ralph D. Ogden. Four daughters, Mrs. Milton (Irene) Hyatt, Cedar City; Mrs. Hyrum (Florence) Holt, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Harry P. (Louise) Pluhm, Salt Lake City and Mrs.' Heed W. (Mary Jane) Stewart, Big Falls, N.Y. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 212 great grandchildren. She has three brothers living, 2 in Paragonah, William T. and Louis Marion and one, Leon Ray of Salt Lake City Funeral services were held Monday in the Parowan Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Parowan City Cemetery. s |
