Show Classes in dancd education offered students Students in the Cedar City Schools and Southern Utah State College will have the opportunity op-portunity to participate In classes in movement education, taught by Kaye Clark of the Repertory Dance Theatre. Miss Clark has been with RDT since its beginning and has had much experience teaching as well as dancing and doing choreography for the company. This program is being funded fund-ed by the Utah State Division of Fine Arts, and tthe National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, D.C. In cooperation coopera-tion with the School District and Southern Utah State Col-lege. Col-lege. Miss Clark, in addition to working with the students is plannLig a seminar for teachers that are Interested in movement move-ment exploration and education. educa-tion. This is the first "in residency" program of this type to be brought to the Cedar City Schools, according to LaVeve i Whetten, who is working In coordinating co-ordinating the event. It is hoped hop-ed that this will be the beginning begin-ning of an annual event that can prove to be one of the highlights high-lights of the school year for the students of al grade levels. |
