Show Meet tonight on off road vehicles In 1971 the Utah legislature legisla-ture passed the Recreation Vehicle Act, which was and is designed to promote responsible res-ponsible and enjoyable use of off road vehicles by providing provid-ing a means of reducing safety saf-ety hazards, noise and ecol-! ecol-! ogical problems. 1 Also taken into consldera- 3 tlon was the need to provide 1 some of the basic services and 1 facilities, such as the trail j head at Midway Junction so j necessary for the enhancement f of this growing form of rec- reation. In an attempt to I Identify local needs, receive ! local suggestions and com munication from local riders, as well as answers to questions quest-ions about snowmobiles, in particular, and off-road vehicles ve-hicles In general a meeting has been called to be held in Cedar City this evening, Thursday. 1 The meeting will be held at I the Highway Department bull-ding bull-ding at 880 North Main at 7 p. m. All persons with any interest inter-est in this field are encourag-ed encourag-ed to attend. In attendance will be sev-eral sev-eral Utah Division of Parks and Recreation personnel and representatives from other federal, fed-eral, state and county agen-cies. |
