Show Northern drill teams to perform during half time atSUSC games Two p r 1 z ewinning high school drill teams will furnish halftime entertainment during two of the next three Southern Utah State College basketball games. The Vykettes from Viewmont High School in Bountiful will perform on Saturday, Jan. 26 during intermission for the SUSC-W e s t ern New Mexico game. The Spinnakers from Cyprus High School are scheduled sched-uled to appear on Thursday, Feb. 7 when SUSC plays Clare-mont Clare-mont College. Both groups have placed high In girls team competition, with the Spinnakers winning first place for three years in a row at the Pacific Northwest Girls Team Competition in Boise, Idaho, and the Vykettes taking third place in the same contests. con-tests. Both groups also performed recently at the marching band and drill team demonstrations held In the Salt Palace. At that time they were contacted to appear at SUSC and accepted the invitation. Hosting the drill teams will be the SUSC Thunderettes, Flag Twlrlers, Cheer Leaders, and Executive Council. The Thunderettes entertained entertain-ed the Westminster marching group when they accompanied their team to Cedar City on Jan. 15 and shared halftime with the visitors.
