Show Maude E. Benward dies in Calif. Services Held ward. A life sketch was given by Danna H. Jones and remarks were given by Rev. Stephen B. Knnwles The invocation was offered by Kim Hunter with Steven Hunter giving the benediction and Charles R. Hunter dedicating the grave. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. Maude E. Benward 83, died Jan. 18, 1979 at the home of a son in Valencia, Calif. Born June 12, 1895 in Indiana to George Wood and Eva Eunice Tabor Jones. Married Charles A. Benward August 25, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. He died in Dec. of 1942. She was a business woman and operated a number of drug stores in her lifetime. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Mrs. Haze (Betty) Hunter of Cedar City and two sons, Bill Benward of Balencia, Calif, and Dr. Bruce Benward of Madison, 4 Wisconsin. Also surviving ; are 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday January 20, 1979 at 3:00 p.m. in the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary Chapel in Cedar City. The family prayer was offered by Bill W. Benward with Doris Williams playing the prelude, postlude music and Rev. Stephen B. Knowles conducting. Musical sleections consisted of vocal solo's by Floyd Rigby "I Will Walk With God" and "The Lord's Prayer" and a piano solo by Dr. Bruce C. Ben- MAUDE E. BENWARD |
