Show Baltzer new Coach at Parowan in physical education and Health Science. Earlier he attended San Diego City College. As his professional objectives Coach Baltzer indicated that he would "strive to solidify the school and the athletic program by instilling in each player mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects that team sports have to offer." Coach Baltzer has a good contigent of seniors to work with at Parowan High this season but thus far in the season only a spattering of juniors and sophomores have shown an interest in-terest in the football program. A new football and wrestling coach has been named at Parowan High School. Named to fill the vacancy with less than a week remaining before the Ram's opening game Friday against North Sevier is Thomas A. Baltzer of Provo, Baltzer replaces Eric Bjorgman who was named last week to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dave Jensen, who left to assume the head wrestling position at Roy High School in northern Utah. Baltzer began his new duties, Tuesday with the awesome task of putting a squad together for the opener to be played on the Parowan field. Game time for the Friday night contest is 8 p.m. The new head coach has a vast background of football experience. ex-perience. He played his college football at Brigham Young University and played professional football with the Spokane Shockers in Spokane, Washington. While at BYU he was a student teachers and coach at Springville High School where he assisted with the offensive and defensive lines. He is a graduate teaching , assistant at BYU where his duties consisted of coaching the offensive line on the Junior Varsity and he has also served as the Freshman Football line coach on the Provo campus. Coach Baltzer also persued a career in professional football " spending time in the Oakland Raiders training camp under ' Coach 0. Spencer.
