Show SCS offers Intrest Free Loans The E & I Soil Conservation Con-servation District reminds ranchers that interest-free loans are available for improvement of rangeland. These funds can be used for any type of improvement including fences, spring developments, wells, pipelines, brush control, range seedings and other uses. Several special advantages ad-vantages exist on these loans. The loans carry no interest. The pay back period is 15 years. No money needs to be repaid until the property is back in use. Also, these loans can be used in conjunction with the ASCS cost share program. The loan fund is administered ad-ministered by local conservation con-servation districts and the Utah Soil Conservation Commission. The first loans from the Utah Rangeland Development Fund were awarded in October of 1976. Since then several ranchers have begun longterm range improvement plans through this program. Application can be made by contacting E&I Soil Conservation District Chairman, Alan Adams, in Parowan or the Soil Conservation Con-servation Service. |
