Show Cedar City unit praised by UFW Auxiliary prexy The Cedar City V. F. W. Auxiliary Ladies were honored honor-ed by a visit of the State VFW Aux. President Marie Mason. She was presented at a dinner din-ner in her honor iby Pres. Norma Nor-ma Green, who is also state Jr. Vice. Mrs. Mason had just returned return-ed from a national VFW Aux. Convention in Anaheim Calif. She told of the pride she felt in the worth while work being be-ing done on National and State level. National 'President 'Presi-dent Frances Har.man paid tribute to the stat,- presidents ' 1 I,, il vJjf CJ" UfiiJ MARIE MASON for their outstanding work. Utah was rated at the top level in attaining one hundred hundr-ed per-cent membership and was one of ten state in one dollar per member for Cancer aid and research. Mrs. Mason, congratulated the Cedar City Aux. Ladies for continuously sending in each year one dollar iper member mem-ber for the Veterans Hospital, To our National Home for Orphans Or-phans of Veterans, and to Cancer aid and research. For a State winner from the local High School VFW and Aux. sponsored script writing program. pro-gram. Also for their outstanding outstand-ing efforts In all completed projects to ibuild and support Community, State and Nation-al Nation-al ideals for a ibetter America. Mrs. Mason congratulated District 5 President Idonna Maithies for the accomplish-1 ments of !Dist. 5 this past tw o years. And stated that through her efforts Dist 5 was the most active in the state. Mrs. Mason (brought a message mes-sage from national VFW Commander Com-mander in Chief Joseph 'L. Vicites, urging all ladies in the Aux. to keep up the good work, and that we American s must all pull together, One Nation Under God, for a stronger America. |
