Dr. Ranes is married and has five daughters. He is a member of the LDS Church. Dr. Ranes joined the Southern South-ern Utah Clinic July 10 and became affiliated with Dr. F. W. Farnswortn and Dr. L. V. Broadfoent. In addition he has practice in Dunedin, Fla. and. prior to joining the medical staff at the Southern Utah Clinic was Raymond D. Ranes, M.D. has recently affiliated with the Southern Utah Clinic in Cedar City and began a general medical med-ical practice. Dr. Ranes comes to Cedar City well qualified with 12 years of private practice plus two and a half years of practice prac-tice in the United States Air Force. A native of Ashland, 111. he received his bachelor degree from Illinois Wesleyan University Uni-versity and received his doctorate doc-torate from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest College, Winston-Salem, N. C. in June 1956. His two and one half years in the U. S. Air Force were spent as a medical officer at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ariz. He held the rank cif Captain. He opened private practice at Rockford, Alabama in 1959.
