The T-Birds, however, have won their way into the RMAC playoffs for the past four years. Each year they have met Adams State in the opener open-er and this year marks the first division championship, by virtue of the win over the Indians, in that four year history. After three years of flustra-tion flustra-tion the Soutehrn Utah State College baseball team defeated defeat-ed Adams State in the opening open-ing round of the Rocky Mountain Moun-tain Athletic Conference. Behind the pitching of Don Kolstad, who scattered eight hits defeated the Indians 11-2. The victory gave the T-Blrds the Rock Mountain Division championship. The success of the Cleo Pet-' ty coached crew ended following follow-ing that Monday victory as they succumbed' to the Plains Division crews in order. Monday afternoon University Univer-sity of Northern Colorado turned tur-ned the tables on the T-Birds with an 11-2 victory forcing the SUSC crew into the conso- lation play. Early Tuesday morning Washburn turned the tables on the T-Birds with an 11-4 win and eliminating the T-Birds T-Birds from the double elmina-tion elmina-tion tournament. University of Northern Colorado Colo-rado went on to defeat Washburn Wash-burn for the RMAC Conference Confer-ence championship.
