Show Forest Service to issue bids on Forest road Alvin F. Wright, supervisor announces that the Dixie National Na-tional Forest is in the process of advertising for bids for the reconstruction of the Cedar Breaks-Panguitch Lake road. The proposed project calls for sutograde, drainages, and gravel gra-vel base to accomodate a 26 foot paved driving surface. The asphalt driving surface will be constructed by '. Iron and Garfield Counties When the subgrade work has . been completed by the Forest Service. Ser-vice. ' This new construction will complete the road link from the end of the oiled surface at Panguitch! Lake to Cedar Breaks ' National " Monument boundary. Environmental quality cf the area has been protected by close coordination of the ' location lo-cation and design, including vista points, along the route of the road. Bids will be opened in June and it is anticipated that construction con-struction will begin by August Aug-ust 1. Max Hamilton, Civil Engineer, En-gineer, will be in charge of the construction. |
