Show AlVSat college plan events for weekend Annual Associated Wcmen Student activities for Southern Utah State College coeds and their mothers are planned at SUSC for May 19 and 20, it was announced by Jennifer : Whitby, American Fork, AWS I president. The mothers and daughters will attend the Friday night performance of "You're a Good ! Man Charlie Brawn" presented present-ed by the SUSC Drama Depart-ment Depart-ment at 8:15 p. m. in the SUSC Auditorium. Mrs. Calvin L. Ramipton will be guest speaker at the AWS luncheon Saturday at 11 a.m. in the SUSC ballroom. A special spec-ial program beginning Saturday Satur-day at 3 p.m. in the SUSC LDS Institute Building will feature Carol Lynn! Pearson, noted Utah authoress. A fashion show will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday evening, the group will attend the SUSC Stage Band Concert in the Recital Hall at 8:15 p.m. A highlight of the week end events will include the selec-. tion of the annual Sterling Spoon recipient, a special ceremony honoring the SUSC female student best typifying the sterling qualities of friendliness, friend-liness, charm, poise, womanliness, woman-liness, unselfishness, cheerfulness, cheerful-ness, and leadership ability. Candidates are Miss Whitby, Paim Hunter and Colleen Sand, berg, Cedar City; Sue Metm-mott, Metm-mott, Sciipo, Millard County; Susanne Noel, Orem; and Jo-lene Jo-lene Piatt, Richfield. |
