Members of the Cedar Seventh Ward run through final preparation before leaving last week to present program to Utah's Dentists in Salt Palace. The production, based on the theme of dental den-tal health was an award winning road show in the Cedar West Stake last year and participated in the state convention con-vention by special invitation. Cedar City Boadshoiv plays Palace ister Mr. Tooth Decay and his jolly adversary the Tooth Fairy who are seldon seen in public. . The roadshow featured a 27 foot pair of lips framing 32 animated teeth menaced by Mr. Tooth Decay and his motley crew of germs. "Open Wide" won first place In competition in the Cedar West Stake. The group was j invited to perform for the local lo-cal officers banquet of the Dental Association and that For the very first time an LDS roadshow played at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. The roadshow of the Cedar City Seventh Ward was invited, in-vited, because of its unique theme, to perform for the guests and delegates In attendance at-tendance at the Utah State and Western Regional Dental Convention held in Salt Lake City this past week. The roadshow entitled "Open "Op-en Wide" featured the personal per-sonal appearances of the sin- performance led t0 the invitation invi-tation to present the roadshow road-show for the State and Regional Region-al convention involving delegates dele-gates from several western states. Thirty-two members of the Seventh Ward partici pated in the presentation. . Leading roles included Bruce Knowlton as Mr. Tooth Decay and W. Reed Hanson as the Tooth Fairy. Directing the production was Bonnie Knowlton and script was written by Mr. and Mrs. Knowlton. A musical produeti o , n Blanch Dalby was the accompanist. accom-panist. . The entire trip to Salt Lake City was financed by the convention. con-vention. Those in charge pointed out that it is a rare occasion when an amateur production and especially a roadshow of the LDS Church reaches such a degree of professionalism pro-fessionalism to be invited to a significant convention of this kind.
