Show Scout skills to be on display Sat. The third annual Southern Utah Area, Utah National Parks Council, Scout-O-Rama will be held Saturday, May 20 from 3 to 7 ?M. at the Cedar City High School foot-bau foot-bau tieid. j Participating units from Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, Snows Canyon, Zion Park Kanab, Beaver, Panguitch, and Garfield Districts will display their scouting, skills. Twenty ;ix units have registered to man booths featuring signal tower building, shotgun shell reloading, trap shooting, bacl. packing, patriotism, cookint and camping skills, puppet shows, and skits. The scout ing displays will be f olloweci by the Big Show starting at 6 p.m. - ' " The Big Show wiir.be em'ce-ed em'ce-ed by Stephen Van Dyke and promises to provide some interesting in-teresting entertainment with a karate demonstration, . Indian war dance,; musical comedy, and the awarding of trophies. Trophies Will be presented tc the top unit In the Cub, Scout, Blazer, and Explorer divisions with the sweepstakes award going to the best overall unit in the Scout-O-Rama. Dr. Walter Wal-ter Snow, Council Vice President Presi-dent from St. George will present pre-sent the booth awards while Cecil Jorgensen of Cedar City will make the presentations to the three individual scouts with the fastest cars In the pinewood derby race. Scout-O-Rama Chairman Bill Black urges the entire community to come out and see scouting in action.
