Show Plans fdr statewide health program subject of CSU meet Planning has begun for an April 19 meeting at College of Southern Utah that will involve in-volve participants from the Five-County area in plans for a statewide comprehensive health program. Visiting the CSU campus recently re-cently were Norman Angus, director of state comprehensive comprehen-sive health planning and Don West, assistant director of the program. They met with Dr. Wesley P. Larson, dean of the CSU School of Science and a director of the state health program. The April meeting will place emphasis on planning for better bet-ter health services throughout the state, Mr. Angus said. He stated that it is important to utilize all of the existing resources re-sources and to coordinate the efforts of every agency that is working toward the betterment better-ment of health. The Cedar City meeting Is being held to plan specifically specifical-ly for the improvement of health services in the Five-County Five-County area, according to Mr. Angus. Those expected to attend at-tend will include city and county officials, health planners, plan-ners, persons connected with social welfare, rehabilitation, mental health programs, physicians, phys-icians, dentists, nurses, and personnel in all the health related re-lated professions. Also encouraged en-couraged to attend are any citizens who as health service consumers are interested in beeter health planning, Mr. Angus said. Specific time and place for the meeting will be announced. |
